A proud Scotswoman, her Granny worked in a candle factory and a bakery, crafting an inviting atmosphere steeped in tradition and rich aromas. The air was always infused with the comforting scents of baked goods and fragrant candles, leaving a lasting impression on Georgina’s heart.

Georgina’s close relationship with her Granny extended beyond the olfactory experience; it was a nurturing bond that shaped her creativity. Her Granny not only taught her to knit and bake but also shared the importance of Scottish traditions and the beauty of handmade crafts. When Georgina’s Granny passed away, a deep sense of loss inspired her to pursue her passions and honor her Granny’s legacy.

In her memory, Georgina, with the support of her husband, set out to create Vanmali Candles Company—a brand that captures the essence of serenity and the beauty of nature, infused with the traditions she holds dear. Georgina’s story also intertwines with that of her husband, Kavesh, who brings his South African Indian heritage and global perspectives to Vanmali Candle Company. The two met and maintained a long-distance relationship before marrying in a traditional Vedic ceremony, an experience that reinforced their appreciation for cultural diversity. Together, they envisioned a candle brand inspired by global cultures and seasonal transitions, creating collections that resonate with people from all backgrounds.
